Last night was a back and forth, knock-down, drag-out extra inning battle! As they say, in the end there can be only one winner...and last night, unfortunately, the Moose Horns proved that their horns were bigger than our Big Johnsons.
The Big Johnsons struggled with kicking a little...sending most kicks in the air to a competent Moose Horn fielder. Even the girls had trouble bunting because their catcher was VERY quick and could throw them out at first.
Defensively we were really good. Kudos to Lindsey for 3 HUGE (although not entirely graceful) catches in right field. Those guys thought they could pick on her, and learned the hard way that she is not to be messed with! Eric also came up with a couple big catches, too. One of them blind - looking directly into the sun! Michelle, Scott, Molly, Craig and Dave all had good catches / plays in the infield. Keep up the good work guys!
Next week will be a real phallic match-up - we'll find out which is bigger - Balls of Glory's balls...or our Big Johnsons. I, for one, can't wait!
See you there - field #8 - 7:15. Hopefully we won't be looking directly into the sun like we did last night on field #7.

I will accept responsibility for the loss this week. The combination of my bad fielding, base running and getting out with the bases loaded qualifies me to take the dishonors. Sorry team!!! I will play better next week.

Sure...your game was a little off - but who's wasn't? I think I went 1-4 at the plate. For some reason we just couldn't keep our balls on the ground - it happens.
All in all - I think it was still better than the first week....we were all a little rusty.
We'll shake it off and start dominating again! Go BJs!
So Craig you are able to ump with Scott tomorrow at 6 while Julie and I watch and drink beer right????
